Experimental and Computational Investigation of Divergent Thrust Losses In Rocket Nozzles
The nozzle is a critical component of any rocket engine because it transforms high pressure and high temperature (with sluggish net velocity) within the combustion chamber into high velocity but low pressure. Individually, the molecules in the mixed propellants have rapid velocity in the combustion chamber, but directions are randomly pointing in all directions. A convergent-divergent nozzle, also known as a CD nozzle, is fashioned like a tube with two bulging ends and a thin part in the center. This structure/design provides the nozzle with a balanced shape. By turning the flow\u27s heat energy into kinetic energy, the nozzle accelerates hot, pressured gas traveling past it in the axial (push) direction. Whereas the nozzle provides the acquired incremental thrust to the rocket engine, it also results in unwanted thrust losses. Out of which divergent losses in the divergent section are the primary foci of our research. Moreover, in this research paper, we produced verified results to reduce the thrust losses at the divergent sections of the nozzle by optimizing the nozzle with different half divergent angles

Investigation of a H Panachkkad PHC area of Kottayam district Kerala by case control design
Abstract Background: Viral Hepatitis (HAV) continues to be a major public health problem in HAV infection. Early investigation of an epidemic of Hepatitis A will go a long way in containing the epidemic and preventing further transmission of the disease. epidemiological features of the Hepatitis A outbreak which occurred in PHC Panackikkad in November to December 2013, to find out the source of infection and suggest measures to control spread of the epidemic. The setting was wards 5,7,18 and 19 of Panachikkad PHC, Kottayam District, Kerala State, India and the study was done using a case control design. Methods For each case at least four to five household or neighbourhood controls were taken after matching for age. A total of 121 individuals were interviewed. All the cases and controls were interviewed at their home using a structured interview schedule which included informati treatment of water before consumption, habit of consuming food from outside home and past history of Hepatitis Statistical Analysis: Data was entered in Microsoft excel an Conclusions: A total of 121 individuals were interviewed as part of the study patients identified in the study was 22. Ten of them had laboratory confirmed Acute Hepa the cases 20 (90.9%) belonged to the 15 major risk factors of the Hepatitis outbreak which were found to be statistically significant were male sex; 4.979(1.572-15.771), Jaundice in the family; OR 7.6 (4.742 consumption; OR 13.32(4.116 water at home for drinking; OR 0.162 (0.05
OPINION OF THE ACADEMICS ON THE APPLICATION OF SOCIAL MEDIA IN TEACHING AND RESEARCH: A CASE STUDY OF PONDICHERRY UNIVERSITY
ABSTRACT This study explores the feasibility of using social networking sites for teaching and research purposes based on the opinion of faculty and research scholars of various departments that belong to science and technology schools in Pondicherry University. The data were collected through questionnaire using simple random sampling from 22 faculty members and 76 research scholars. The result revealed that majority of the respondents was in favour of using social networking sites for academic purposes. 77.65% of them used Research Gate and Academia.edu was used by 64.89% of the respondents. More than 50% of the respondents opined that privacy policies of SNS are effective and 55.31% of the respondents are satisfied with the use of Social networking sites
Conflicts of National Security Interests in East Asia and the Pacific: At the Turn of the Twenty-First Century
Introduction. With Korea, Vietnam and the Gull War as bloody memories of the past, East Asia and the Pacific enters a new era of international relations with the turn to the 21st Century. The entire region, and the rest of the world, breathes more freely because the cold war in its passing has taken with it the imminent danger of a nuclear holocaust. Never has the time been more propitious for a reexamination of conflicts of national security interests in East Asia, with special attention to the role of the United States. It is the purpose of this study to analyze successively the strategic situation in Northeast Asia, China, Southeast Asia and the Southwest Pacific with a view to finding more effective policies and strategies for peace, stability and prosperity

H.264 is well known compression standard for raw video. Data hiding using general techniques will not sustain under this scheme. We propose a data hiding approach in IPCM block. Where these IPCM encoded macro blocks are modified in order to hide the desired data. In general video, the numbers of IPCM blocks generated are very less. A method is proposed to increase the number of IPCM blocks generated in H.264 algorithm, by which more data can be hidden. It is a blind data hiding scheme, i.e. the encoded message can be extracted directly without the need of the original host video
PEST CONTROL IN GREEN GRAM SEEDS (Vigna radiata) BY USING PLANT EXTRACTS
ABSTRACT. A experiment was conducted to investigate the efficacy of different plant derivatives against the development of the green gram pest Callosobruchus chinensis (L). fed on green gram seeds Vigna radiate for one month period. The leaf extracts of lemon (Citrus lemon), mint (Mentha arvensis) and black pepper seed (Piper nigram) powders were evaluated for their growth, adult mortality and oviposition inhibition of Callosobruhus chinensis. The results revealed that the extracts of all the three plant products caused a considerable reduction in the number of bruchids. Among the treatments Piper nigram were found to be effective in destroying the pest
